Biography

Guy Barnes has been writing and producing music for over 20 years. Guy was discovered in1994, during the time when he was playing in bars and clubs around London, by legendary proaudio designer and engineer, John Oram. John recognised Guy’s ability to write hooky top linesand lyrics and noticed a real conviction to his performance. So he decided to give the youngsongwriter an apprenticeship in engineering and production and the time to hone his craft.

John set Guy up with a small studio where Guy subsequently spent long hours writing andrecording and developing a better understanding of his craft. As his knowledge grew, so did hisstudio. Eventually Guy moved on to recording other acts in between his song writing to earn hisbread and butter.

Guy has written an extensive country catalogue, which caught the attention of writer, Roy JohnFuller, in Nashville who started writing with Guy and also, Levi Riggs, who has taken four ofGuy’s songs and placed them on hold for his next album.
In 2010 Guy wrote and demo’d an album for ex Simon Cowell artist from the platinum sellinggroup Angelis, Natalie Chua. The single “Angel” - now number 15 in the Filipino charts - waswritten, produced, mixed and mastered by Guy. He even played every instrument except drumsand bass, which were performed by Gavin Smith and Brad Rice who Guy uses for everything.
