Former BMG Head of Club Promotions, Arista Urban Promotions & BMG International A&R etc.
Jamie works within the Audiofreaks stable as our Publishing A&R manager, and his main role is in building and maintaining relationships with writers, producers, A&R guys, Managers, Labels and fellow publishing companies. Jamie looks to arrange co-writes and co-productions for our own roster of writer/producers, pitch songs and tracks from within the 'Audiofreaks / Galactic Music' catalogue to A&R, Managers & Artists (signed or in the development stage), and acquire publishing assets for our affiliated company 'Galactic Music' to administer and proactively develop.

After starting out as a club DJ in the 1980's, Jamie got his first role in the industry in 1989 as UK Club Promotions manager for legendary US hip hop / dance label Sleeping Bag Records, working with Todd Terry, EPMD and Kariya. In 1992 he began working for Blues & Soul magazine and took over as Club Editor a year later.
In 1996 he took up the role of Urban Promotions manager at Arista Records UK, where he worked on break through acts at that time such as Usher, Outkast, Monica and Next, as well as help strengthen the position of artists like TLC, Puff Daddy and Notorious BIG. He also helped establish BMG UK's renowned Word Of Mouth department, working closely with the UK's club/radio/pirate community setting up a strong urban DJ database for his artists.
In 1999, as BMG's Head Of Club Promotions, Jamie looked after the labels RCA, Arista, Decon, Nu Life & Satellite doing front line club, radio & street promo. This gave him his opportunity to work closely on acts across the dance/urban spectrum: Jay-Z, Angie Stone, Alicia Keys, Donell Jones, Rui Da  Silva, Double 99 and Ian van Dahl.
In 2001, Jamie moved into a new International A&R role working on many US acts such as Pink, Lou Reed, Christina Aguilera and Blu Cantrell, as well as commissioning club mixes on domestic repertoire such as Natalie Imbruglia, Dido, Faithless, Natasha Bedingfield and Kasabian. After leaving the now merged Sony BMG, he set up Denada Music and continued success by commissioning Groovefinder's UK Top 5 remix of Nina Simone's smash 'Aint Got No, I Got Life' (from the Muller Lite TV ad) and helped Nina's 'Greatest Hits' sell well in excees of 1m units. He has also worked on several other classic tracks: Jeff Waynes' 'Eve Of The War' (with Tom Middleton), Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince's 'Summertime', Bill Withers 'Lovely Day' (both with Full Phatt) and last year A&R'ed the first ever official Bob Dylan remix with Mark Ronson in 2007.
As well as compiling the monthly STREET and HOUSE discs for Europe's No.1 promo service CD Pool, he regularly consults for the likes of Sony BMG, Universal, Virgin Mobile & Sunset & Vine TV. He has launched a new black music website www.StraightOuttaNow.com and also manages several top class production teams including Soulshaker, 7th Heaven, Love II Infinity and Delinquent.
Jamie also now runs Click Groove.
